THE EXTREMELY TIGHT TIMELINE

Mangold’s Challenge is running the race.  Our Challenge is figuring out how to make sharing this story a possibility! What makes this so difficult?

Our pressing Timeline/ Itinerary:

Feb.6-Feb. 9th, 2012: Shoot Zandy running a practice race in the Bahamas and film Zandy’s family and father Tomas – a WWII Jewish refugee who once worked in the desert mines of northern Chile.  Tomas will be returning for the first time in over 25 years to northern Chile to support his son at the end of the race and reconnect with a land he once knew.

Feb. 27, 2012– Fly down to Calama Airport, Chile a few days before the race.  Adjust to the altitude, head to San Pedro, begin filming.

March 4-11, 2012 – 7 days of running and filming through the driest desert of the world!

March 12 – 15, 2012 – RECOVER

March 15, 2012 – Begin Edit

Why not shoot next year? This is a time dependant story based on the course of an individuals life in motion.  As we all know – a documentary is about capturing the story of THE moment – thus we’re in a time crunch! Please help support the cause.
